Medical The ExxonMobil Medical
Plan is made up of a POS II option and HMO options, including both
self-insured and fully-insured HMOs. If you enroll in any option other than
the POS II option, you will receive an additional SPD for that option. Even if
you do not enroll in any option, you are still eligible for certain Partners
in Health program benefits.
Dental The ExxonMobil Dental Plan
encourages good dental health by paying, within plan limits, for most of the
cost of preventive services and part of the cost of many other services,
including orthodontia. The Plan offers you the opportunity to use dentists and
dental specialists who are part of a preferred provider organization (PPO).
You can generally reduce your out-of-pocket expenses while maximizing the
annual plan benefits by using this network.
Vision The Vision Plan encourages
preventive eye care by offering coverage for comprehensive eye exams and
allowances for lenses and frames or contact lenses. The Vision Plan also
provides access to discounts on laser eye surgery.
Eye examinations are an important component to preserving eyesight. Regular
eye exams can detect eye problems at their earliest stages when they're most
treatable.
Pre-Tax Spending Plan (employees)
The ExxonMobil Pre-Tax Spending Plan allows you to take advantage of
significant tax savings in three ways:
1. When you elect
coverage under a medical and/or dental plan to which a participating
ExxonMobil employer contributes, your required contributions (what you may
think of as your premiums) will be on a pre-tax basis, unless you opt out of
this feature every year.
2. The Health Care Flexible Spending
Account allows you to set aside pre-tax money for the reimbursement of
out-of-pocket medical and dental expenses for both you and your dependents.
3. The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account allows you to set aside
pre-tax money for the reimbursement of day care charges provided for your
dependent children under age 13 or for a disabled child or adult who lives
with you and depends on you financially. This account does not cover medical
or dental expenses.
Disability The ExxonMobil
Disability Plan provides income to you when you cannot work due to illness or
injury. The Plan covers both short-term and long-term absences from work
caused by on- or off-the-job illnesses and injuries. Besides providing income
benefits, the Plan also makes a voluntary rehabilitation program available,
when appropriate.
Medicare Supplement The ExxonMobil
Medicare Supplement Plan is a medical plan for retirees, survivors and their
dependents who are eligible for Medicare. It is designed to work with Medicare
to give you medical coverage similar to that available to employees and
retirees not eligible for Medicare.
